Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has announced a strategic partnership with Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki to bolster security measures in Samburu and revitalize tourism in the region.
Addressing stakeholders during the Utalii fresh tour, CS Mutua emphasized the critical need to address security challenges in Samburu to attract more tourists. He stated, “To elevate tourism in the area, we must tackle the issue of insecurity that has led to a decline in visitor numbers.”
Expressing his commitment to enhancing safety measures, CS Mutua pledged to collaborate with CS Kindiki to explore the deployment of tourist police around parks and reserves in Samburu. He added, “We aim to create a safe environment that encourages tourism growth and economic prosperity for the region.”
