The Deputy President, speaking at the 36th General Conference of the International Scientific Council of the Trypanosomiasis Research and Control, has urged the leaders in the country to serve with passion and commitment. The DP reminded the leaders that serving Kenyans and the African people is a privilege that should not be taken for granted.

H.E Rigathi Gachagua also reminded the leaders, elected or chosen by the President, should serve Kenyans with humility. At the signing of performance contracts in State House a few months ago, the Deputy President stated that leaders of this country are answerable to Kenyans, reminding them that the common Mwananchi is their employer. He reiterated this statement at the conference recently, asking the leaders to have empathy for the people they serve.

He at the same time reminded the leaders to address Kenyans with respect and decorum. The Deputy President expressed the same respect should be extended to their juniors at all times. That Kenyan leaders need to remember that service to people is the most important job description they have. Kenyans leaders have been reminded by His Excellency Rigathi that the people they serve are their employers.

The Deputy President showed his respect for the Kenyans that he serves by urging the leaders of various offices and organization to do so with dignity for the offices they hold and the Kenyans they serve. Regardless of challenges, H.E Gachagua reminded the leaders that the need to stay calm and level headed in the face of challenges is important.

The Deputy President continues to show his love for the common Mwananchi on a regular basis, proving his commitment to serve and keep the promises made by the Kenya Kwanza government. H.E Rigathi Gachagua is a deputy the President can rely on and trust that he has the best interests of Kenyans in his heart.
