The East African Science and Technology Commission (EASTECO) and the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) have announced the upcoming 3rd EAC Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Conference to be held in Nairobi from March 6-8, 2024.

According to Dr. Jane Nyasuna, spokesperson for EASTECO, “We are thrilled to bring together key stakeholders in the STI sector to accelerate development and diffusion of solutions for a green, inclusive, and resilient East Africa.”

This event follows the success of the previous conferences in Kampala and Bujumbura, and aims to provide a platform for policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and innovators to exchange ideas and best practices.

The conference will feature engaging sessions on Agricultural Productivity, Health and Nutrition, Natural Resources Management, and Information Communication Technology and Digital Economy. Dr. Samuel Mwangi, a leading researcher, expressed excitement, stating, “This conference will drive innovation and collaboration in crucial areas such as climate change mitigation, precision agriculture, and digital services.”

All research papers presented will undergo rigorous peer-review and be published in the East African Journal of Science, Technology, and Innovation, enhancing regional visibility and competitiveness.
