The Office of the Deputy President hosted a high-level meeting to address critical issues related to the Horn of Africa Gateway Project.

The meeting focused on resolving compensation issues for Project Affected Persons (PAPs) along the Isiolo-Kulamawe-Modogashe stretch.

The goal was to remove bottlenecks, particularly related to land acquisition and compensation, to prevent delays.

The meeting reinforced the commitment to regional development, aiming to boost socio-economic growth in North and North Eastern Kenya.

The focus was on fast-tracking the project to ensure timely implementation and benefits for the region.

Key stakeholders, including the National Lands Commission, KeNHA, Treasury, and various ministries, were involved in the discussions.
