President William Ruto has called on Kenya Kwanza lawmakers to unite with the government in driving forward the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.
Speaking in Naivasha, Nakuru County, Ruto emphasized the need for political leaders to prioritize the country’s interests to achieve the administration’s objectives. He highlighted the potential impact of the Kenya Kwanza manifesto in transforming Kenya and reminded lawmakers of the coalition’s majority in Parliament.
“We have a manifesto that I believe, if implemented, it can transform Kenya. We have the numbers, both in the Senate and in the National Assembly, to assist us to change Kenya,” Ruto stated.
The President also addressed criticism from some Kenya Kwanza MPs, asserting that they are all part of the government and should work together towards common goals. Ruto urged the lawmakers to focus on the long-term transformation of the country and deliver on the promises made in their manifesto.
Furthermore, Ruto emphasized the importance of the Affordable Housing Programme in creating jobs and reducing crime rates in various regions. He called on the MPs to support the initiative, stating, “We will implement the Housing Programme, I don’t want to say by all means possible, but I have said we will implement.”
