A report by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) has revealed a substantial decrease in the prices of essential items across the country, directly attributed to President Ruto’s economic policies.

The KNBS report, covering the period between February 2024 and March 2024, showcases a remarkable decline in prices of key items, ranging from food to non-food essentials.

The report highlights that six food items experienced price reductions between 2.8% and 9.6%, while non-food items saw decreases ranging from 2.3% to 3.5%.

According to the report, a kilogram of carrots dropped by 2.8%, maize flour prices decreased by 5.8%, and the cost of a litre of petrol declined by 3.5%.

The overall inflation rate decreased from 6.3% to 5.7% in March 2024, reflecting positive progress under President Ruto’s administration.
