As a resident and a healthcare professional in Kericho County, I wholeheartedly welcome the forthcoming initiatives aimed at enhancing our healthcare system. President Ruto’s commitment to improving access to quality healthcare is commendable and aligns perfectly with our aspirations for Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

The launch of Primary Health Care Networks (PCN) is a pivotal step towards achieving UHC. This innovative approach will bridge the gap between community-based healthcare services and our healthcare facilities. It means that my neighbors and I can more easily access the healthcare we need, and this is vital for promoting preventive and curative care.

The week-long Medical Camp is a significant blessing for our community. With services ranging from cancer screenings to immunizations, these camps will ensure that our residents receive crucial medical checks and consultations. This is a fundamental aspect of promoting early disease detection and reducing healthcare disparities.

The four-day Medical Expo is a platform where we can witness groundbreaking healthcare innovations. This includes health information systems, digitization, and human resources for health, all of which are critical for enhancing healthcare delivery. Importantly, the focus on innovative healthcare financing models highlights President Ruto’s foresight in ensuring the sustainability of these programs.

President Ruto’s commitment to launching an oxygen plant at the Kericho County Referral Hospital signifies a monumental step in enhancing healthcare infrastructure. This will undoubtedly result in better patient care and overall healthcare outcomes in our community.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to President Ruto for his commitment to these initiatives. They provide a clear path towards achieving Universal Health Coverage and improving the health and well-being of the people of Kericho County. I believe that these measures will significantly reduce the financial burden of healthcare on our community and lead to healthier, happier lives for all.
