Kenya kwanza administration  has embarked on the revival of the long-stalled Marsabit Stadium project. Sports and Youth Affairs Cabinet Secretary, Ababu Namwamba, visited Marsabit on Monday, October 23rd, to inspect the progress of this vital project, which will play a pivotal role in hosting the upcoming U15 AFCON.

Namwamba, alongside Marsabit Governor Mohamud Ali, directed an immediate assessment of the work completed thus far, focusing on the VIP pavilion, the pitch, track, and the public pavilion. The government aims to determine whether the existing structures meet the required standards and integrity or if they should consider starting the project afresh.

President Ruto’s commitment to renovating stalled stadiums, beginning with Marsabit Stadium, is a testament to his dedication to improving sports infrastructure in the country. The visit by the Sports Cabinet Secretary signifies a hands-on approach to ensure the successful completion of this much-needed project.
