Ministry of Youth Affairs CS, Hon. Namwamba has flagged off a group of young women leaders to New Delhi, India for a two-week leadership training program.

The Kenyan delegation will participate in a tailored training session on Gender Responsive Governance in Entrepreneurship at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad in New Delhi.

This two-week ITEC training aligns perfectly with this year’s International Women’s Day 2024 theme “Inspire Inclusion,” aiming to provide participants with insights into gender concepts, incorporate gender into policy frameworks, and explore the experiences, obstacles, and potential pathways for women’s involvement and leadership in entrepreneurial settings.

The team will also engage with women leaders from around the world, exchanging ideas and experiences on various topics related to women empowerment and embracing the cultural diversity of people worldwide, fostering peaceful coexistence among different global communities.

The Cabinet Secretary encouraged the team to represent Kenya with distinction during their stay in India, emphasizing that they are the ambassadors of the hopes and voices of every Kenyan woman.

He urged them to showcase the best of themselves and proudly raise Kenya’s flag high during their time abroad.
