President William Ruto on Monday held a meeting of Kenya Kwanza MCAs at State House, Nairobi.
This is the first meeting of the MCAs with the president to take stock of the government’s performance since the Kenya Kwanza administration got into office.
The meeting also some days before the planned United Democratic Alliance(UDA) grassroots elections set for April.
In a statement after the meeting on Monday morning, the Head of State noted that the event was aimed at exchanging views between the Executive and grassroots leaders.
“We are routinely exchanging views with grassroots leaders so that we can accelerate the accomplishment of our country’s development agenda,” stated the Head of State.
The meeting was attended by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Council of Governors Chairperson and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.
Other leaders present were National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah and Senator Aaron Cheruiyot.
