While inspecting the ongoing construction of the Kenya School of TVET Ebunangwe in Emuhaya Constituency, the President has stated that the government with the Ministry of Education will be hiring about 2,000 TVET tutors and trainers. This will aid in the implementation and development of the curricula to fit the broadening job market. H.E President Ruto also expressed faith in the youth of the country, stating that they have the energy, the know-how and most important, the drive to build a better Kenya.

Hiring more tutors to the TVET institution will be a step further to closing the human resource gap in the education sector, a promise the President and the Kenya Kwanza government hopes to fulfil.

An increase in hiring will also broaden and develop the skill set of the Kenya young people, which will meet the demands of the ever changing labour market. Creating a skilled labor force is a step further to reducing the rates of unemployment, a promise the President made to the youth.

The President also oversaw the opening of the Bungoma North Technical and Vocational College in Nabing’eng’e. The Kenya Kwanza government made the promise to ensure as many educational institutions per county as possible, to improve the education and chances of the Kenyan youth.

Hiring these tutors and trainers will also reduce the unemployment in the country, which will be a win to many trained teaches who are yet to gain employment.

While at the Western side of Kenya, the President made a promise to see the resumption of operation for the Nzoia Sugar Company. One of the ways to reform the agriculture sector is the reopening of such factories, which the President has assured the sugar farmers will be done within a year. The President promised the famers that the mill will be under new, incorruptible management who will see the return of profitability to the Kenyan farmer.

In line with the BETA Agenda, ensuring the Kenyan farmer earns a decent living from farmers is a promise the President and his government are on the path to.

The Kenya Kwanza government has also promised to construct more roads all over the country to improve trade and accessibility. While in the Western region, the President has pledged the construction of 300 Kilometers in Kakamega County. He also commissioned the tarmacking of the Mumias-Imanga-Musada road. This will boost local trade through swift movement of goods such as sugarcane and maize across the region.

The Kenya Kwanza government core mission is service delivery to the common Mwananchi right at the grassroots. In accordance to this promise, the President oversaw the opening of the office block for the Bungoma County Assembly offices.

President Ruto is a man of his word as seen with his ongoing trip to the western region of the country.
