President Ruto’s recent cabinet reshuffle has led to some notable changes such as the split of the Public Service Ministry from Gender and Heritage while leading the Foreign Affairs Ministry under H.E Musalia Mudavadi.

In the past year under Hon. Mutua, the Ministry has made strides to the betterment of the country through strengthening of bilateral and multilateral ties with various nations across the globe. To name a few, here are some of these economically beneficial strides.

  1. The Moderna Plant.

Thanks to the CS and Ministry’s continued engagements, Moderna will set up a USD 500 million manufacturing plant in Tatu city to produce pharmaceuticals and vaccines for Kenya and Africa.

The factory will have capacity to produce 500 million doses of vaccines per year as well as other pharmaceuticals, thus creating jobs and earn the country the much needed forex.

  • Appreciation of the Diaspora Kenyans.

In line with His Excellency President’s recognition of the important role that Kenyans in Diaspora play in our country’s development, on. Mutua was proud to have led the Ministry in operationalizing the State Department of Diaspora Affairs, which since inception is working tirelessly to enhance the welfare of Kenyans in Diaspora.

  • Service to the People.

In the last one year the Ministry’s Foreign Policy has been guided by the need to empower the Kenyan people. Many of you have asked whether our policy is East or West leaning.

Hon. Mutua has previously said that the Ministry’s policy is WORLD leaning for the benefit of the Kenyan people.
