Sports CS Ababu Namwamba arrived in Spain to formalize the partnership between the Kenya Academy of Sports (KAS) and the Nastic Soccer Academy (NSA) of Tarragona. NSA, which is already integrating a number of top Kenyan youth talents, is also hosting the Talanta Hela national U19 boys and girls teams for two weeks of elite training football exposure.

The two teams, the end product of the inaugural Talanta Hela Inter-County Football Tournament 2023 won by Homabay County (boys) and Busia County (girls), have also participated in the 13th Costa Daurada Cup in Tarragona, with Kenyan boys emerging champions while the girls finished 2nd to Sporting de Lisbon of Portugal.

The KAS-NSA partnership is part of the elaborate Talanta Hela pipeline of identifying, nurturing and monetising talents in a deliberate, intentional and structured manner. The target being to assemble formidable national teams for international assignments such as the forthcoming AFCON’27 that Kenya is delighted to be co-hosting with good neighbours Uganda and Tanzania.
