In a strategic move towards fostering a 24-hour economy, Cabinet Secretary for Information Communication and Digital Economy, Eliud Owalo, has announced the government’s commitment to leveraging technology as a catalyst for economic growth.

Owalo highlighted the pivotal role of technology in transforming Kenya into a hub for online labor and services.

Addressing stakeholders at the launch of a digital laboratory at Tinderet Integrated and Trainers College in Taptengelei, Tinderet Constituency, CS Owalo emphasized the progress made in digitizing government services. He empahszied the importance of a robust digital infrastructure and a skilled ICT workforce in driving Kenya’s digital transformation.

CS Owalo stated, “The government has established reliable infrastructure nationwide to position Kenya as a leader in online services.” Leaders present at the event encouraged youth to embrace online opportunities amidst a changing job landscape.
