As preparations intensify for the upcoming Nyanza International Investments Conference, ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo met with crucial stakeholders in a strategic move towards the success of the event set to take place on June 28 and 29 in Kisumu.

The conference aims to catalyze development in the Nyanza region by attracting a mix of local and international investors, with President William Ruto slated to inaugurate the event and lead discussions on tapping into untapped investment opportunities.

During the pre-conference meeting, attended by approximately 2,000 business representatives and partners including East Africa Breweries and the Kenya Revenue Authority, Owalo emphasized the transformative impact the summit will have on the region’s economy.

Owalo, acting as the patron of NIIC, emphasized inclusivity in the conference preparations, stating, “We want everyone on board to collectively discuss and leverage the available investment opportunities for the economic upliftment of this region.”

With a focus on infrastructure, technology, health, and agriculture, the conference theme “Nyanza Rising: Towards Economic Transformation for Socio-Economic Growth and Development” underscores the goal of converting regional challenges into viable investment prospects.

Prominent attendees at the meeting included United Millers proprietor Sunil Shah and KNCCI officials from various Nyanza counties, reflecting a robust collaboration between public and private sectors to drive sustainable economic growth in the region.
