Parliament has announced a public hearing on June 10, 2024, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, to gather feedback on the Finance Bill, 2024, focusing on revenue-raising strategies proposed by President Ruto.

The Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning will conduct hearings from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., inviting the public and stakeholders to present oral testimonies and written submissions. Clerk of the National Assembly S. Njoroge urged participation, stating, “The Clerk of the National Assembly hereby invites the public and stakeholders to submit their oral representation and written memoranda on the Bill to the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning during the said public hearing.”

The Finance Bill, orchestrated by the committee chair, outlines revenue-related recommendations. Following its introduction on May 13, the Bill awaits scrutiny and feedback from the Departmental Committee before final consideration by the House.
