President William Ruto delivered a keynote talk today Tuesday 7^th November 2023 at Strathmore University in Nairobi on the African Continental Free Trade Area and Africa’s economic revolution.

Trade Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano, US Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman, Strathmore University Vice Chancellor Wamkele Menet, Secretary General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, Vincent Ogutu were all present.

In his speech, the president stressed the necessity of universities taking the lead and driving the intra-African trade and investment agenda.

Designing feasible models that include stakeholders, governments, and regional economic blocs in policy development would encourage inclusive and long-term economic reform on the continent.

He also discussed the National Government Constituency Development Fund and its significance in tree planting and environmental conservation in general.
