H.E President Ruto is not only know as a magnanimous politician, but he is also a devout Christian as well as deeply religious man. This Thursday, honoring the Kiambu Archbishop’s invite for the Laying of the Foundation Stone Service at the ACK St. James Church, he thanked the church and the people of Kiambu for the warm welcome and their continued friendship. Joking about the service held on a weekday, the President said that his friendship with the people of Kiambu and the church is not something he takes for granted.

The President also reminded Kiambu people of his dedication to providing affordable housing, with about 10,000 houses to be constructed in Kiambu. He promised to protect the youth of Kiambu from drugs use and degenerate behavior by ensuring the Housing Fund provides employment for the various youth. In many occasions, the President has shown much concern for the youth of the country, stating that his biggest wish is to leave a country where they are not riddled with the burden of external debt or shortages of food and poor infrastructure. More than 20,000 young people will gain employment from this project.

The Kenya Kwanza government recently launched the first ever government funded online university, on top of providing free Wi-Fi all over the country to enable many youths to access digital entrepreneurship and online courses.

H.E Ruto also promised to have the construction of dual carriage road to Kiambu started at the beginning of October. This will ease a very big issue of traffic from Kiambu town to the CBD. This is welcome news to the many Kenyans who commute on a daily basis to the city, having to endure hours wasted in traffic.

In the past 8 months, the government has been recruiting TVET and Primary and Secondary school teachers, in a step to reducing the human resource challenges.

The President reminded Kiambu residents that the Ministry of Health has employed the expertise of Health Workers who will be dispensing care in Kenyans’ homes. Improving healthcare in the country is the Kenya Kwanza’s dream.

The registration of the old and vulnerable people as well as orphans and differently abled people in the country is a step to improving transparency, and ensuring they receive the best support. The President reiterated the promise to ensure timely payments of the monthly financial support from the government.

In more pleasant news, the President told the people of Kiambu and Kenyans at large that thanks to the fertilizer subsidy, the cost of food in the country has decreased significantly. He urged more Kenyans farmers to register themselves to receive the inputs. Milk farmers in Kiambu welcomed the news that milk coolers in each ward will be availed to ensure their produce is well taken care of.

Taking a stroll in the beautiful Kiambu town, H.E reminded Kiambu residents that the BETA Agenda is meant to better the lives of all Kenyans through growing the economy and creating opportunities for all. Initiatives such as the numerous markets to be built all over the country and access to the Hustler Fund are aimed at bettering the economy and Kenyans lives.

The President reminded Kenyans that his corruption free sentiments in all sectors, promising Kenyans that their taxes will not be stolen or taken advantage of under his watch. His stance on corruption remains stern and non-apologetic. Taxation is the best way to a self-reliant country. A country that all Kenyans should be proud of.
