Environment Cabinet Secretary (CS) Soipan Tuya has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential African Women in 2023 by Avance Media. Expressing her elation, Tuya took to social media to convey her gratitude and extend thanks to President William Ruto for the opportunity to serve in his administration.

Tuya, a graduate of law from the University of Nairobi, later earned a Master’s in sustainable international development in the US. She is passionate about environmental law and began her career in a non-profit, excelling in land-related court cases.
