On Wednesday the 27th of March, CS Hon Mithika Linturi visited the Olenguruone National Cereals & Produce Board depot in Nakuru County to inspect the distribution process of subsidized fertilizer to the farmers in the region.

With a steadfast assurance, the CS conveyed to farmers that the Government stands unwaveringly committed to providing certified subsidized fertilizer.

This assurance came with the stamp of approval from KEBS and various government agencies, ensuring the quality and authenticity of the distributed fertilizer.

In a stern warning to unscrupulous individuals, he made it clear that the government will not tolerate any attempts to undermine its efforts. Any nefarious activities aimed at infiltrating the market with counterfeit subsidized fertilizer will be met with swift & decisive action.

“I have put all unscrupulous business people on notice that the government will apprehend all criminals who are sabotaging government efforts to feed the country by introducing fake subsidized fertilizer in the market,” warned the Agriculture CS

Recognizing the persistent challenge faced by potato farmers in securing certified seeds, the CS, accompanied by DG Nakuru, Hon. David Kones, toured ADC Sirikwa. Here, they oversaw ongoing initiatives focused on seed enhancement and propagation.

These efforts are aimed at accelerating production and ensuring the availability of certified seeds to empower farmers.

The CS was accompanied by PS Dr. Ronoh Paul among other leaders from the region.

The visit underscored the government’s unwavering commitment to supporting farmers and bolstering agricultural productivity for the prosperity of the nation.
