Hon. Moses Kuria has unveiled 5 pillars that will transform Kenya School of Government into a modern institute and a center of excellence.

Among the key changes to be made is the establishment of the School as the institution that will provide knowledge and expertise on Climate Change and Green Finance and a Premier Center for Africa Research.

The pillars are:

1. To ensure that all public servants from Job Group P and above undertake the Strategic  Leadership and Development Program course and those from Job Group L and above undertake the Senior Management Course as a mandatory requirement. Additionally, the Ministry will ensure that all new public servants undertake Kenya School of Government training prior to being absorbed into public service.

2. To reestablish KSG as the Africa Center for Productivity.

3. To partner with the African Union and reestablish KSG as Africa School of Government and a center of training for public servants across Africa.

4. To reestablish KSG as the institution to provide knowledge and expertise on Climate Change and Green Finance matters.

5. To reestablish KSG as the Premier Center for Africa Research.

Speaking at the school, Hon. Kuria stated that the government is committed to customer service, productivity and accountability in public service.

The transformation program is part of a larger ministerial initiative – Public Service Transformation Rapid Results Initiative – that is set to transform public service to make it efficient and fit for purpose over the next 6 months.
