Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, presented President William Ruto’s to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, emphasizing Kenya’s commitment to developing bilateral relations between the two countries.

President El-Sisi reciprocated by expressing Egypt’s pride in the longstanding relations with Kenya, citing it as a model of collaboration among African nations. Discussions during the meeting focused on enhancing joint cooperation in military and security realms, reflecting the shared interest of both countries in deepening their partnership.

The leaders also engaged in talks concerning regional and global developments, with a particular focus on the situations in the Gaza Strip, the Red Sea, and the Horn of Africa, and their implications for peace and security on the African continent.

CS Duale commended Egypt for its significant role in promoting security and stability in Africa, reaffirming Kenya’s commitment to collaborating with Egypt for mutual benefit and advancing joint African initiatives.
