President Ruto has continuously called for the strengthening of bilateral and multilateral relations of African countries, especially the neighboring East African countries. H.E has on many occasions stated that the economic, cultural and intellectual growth of the continent and the region is dependent on the relations the countries enjoy with each other.

President Ruto has been on a quest to ease travel for African countries passport holders through the abolishment of visa restrictions.

Kenya and Burundi continue to enjoy bilateral relations and strategic partnerships which have consistently borne fruit. 

The two countries cooperate in the areas of trade, agriculture and education, amongst other sectors.

After a successful exchange program in which students from Burundi graduated with diplomas in Animal Health from the Animal Health and Industry Training Institute (AHITI) Kabete and in Dairy Production from Naivasha’s Dairy Training Institute (DTI)

 PS Jonathan Mueke yesterday received the Burundi Ambassador to Kenya, Her Excellency Ambassador Evelyn Habonimana, in his office. She expressed gratitude and positive feedback on this major milestone.

The Kenyan and Burundi governments are glad to have added value to the people of Burundi and will continue to extend the friendship.
