The Kenya Meteorological Department has forecasted predominantly dry conditions across most parts of the country for the upcoming week. However, sporadic rainfall is anticipated over specific areas such as the highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley region.

The weather agency also highlighted the likelihood of high daytime temperatures exceeding 30°C in certain coastal, North-eastern, and North-western regions. Conversely, lower nighttime temperatures below 10°C are expected in parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley and the Central Rift Valley.

Kenyans are advised to brace for intermittent cold and cloudy weather in select regions, including the highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, southeastern lowlands, and the Rift Valley.

According to Kenya Met, strong southerly to south-easterly winds with speeds exceeding 25 knots will impact coastal, North-eastern, and North-western areas. Meanwhile, some parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley could experience sunny intervals in the morning, with the possibility of light rains in certain areas.

Residents in North-western Kenya can expect sunny intervals during the day, while nights are likely to be partly cloudy. Additionally, areas bordering Uganda and South Sudan may witness morning rains along with afternoon and night showers.

In the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, including Nairobi County, mornings are expected to be cloudy with light rains in some locations, followed by sunny intervals later in the day. Occasional afternoon and night showers are also forecasted for a few places.

For North-eastern Kenya and southeastern lowlands, sunny intervals are projected during the day, with partly cloudy nights. Light afternoon showers may occur in some places during the first half of the forecast period, while nights are expected to be partly cloudy.

In coastal regions, residents can anticipate sunny intervals during the day, with partly cloudy nights. Moreover, there is a possibility of isolated morning showers in certain areas. Stay tuned for further updates on the evolving weather patterns.
