Bore today had a fruitful meeting with the management of ARCO Human Resources Company led by Abdulaziz Aldulijan.  ARCO is a recruitment firm in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This meeting comes as a follow up from an earlier engagement between the ministry and ARCO mid this year in Nairobi as Waziri Bore pursues the implementation of the commitment by ARCO to employ 10,000 workers.

Waziri Bore noted that ARCO is willing to increase the order to cover all professionals from their interest in hospitality, and have already recruited 100 drivers since the last meeting held in Kenya. With further talks on interest on the construction field, in the areas of Electricians, plumbers among others.

ARCO has also expressed interest to open an office in Kenya to increase the uptake of Kenyan workers.

The CS also held a meeting with a mega Recruitment agency – Abdal Human Resources on the recruitment of Nurses. The firm has offered Kenya a job order for recruitment of 1000 nurses and the meeting discussed the facilitation and requirements.

Kenya has signed a Bilateral Labour Agreement for recruitment of healthcare personnel with the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. The ministry is also pursuing agreements with other markets including, Canada, Germany, Austria, Italy and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

With a view of fostering stronger international cooperation, Kenya embraced the MUSANED system in February 2019 which has fundamentally transformed the process of recruitment of Domestic Workers. The discussions were centered on how best to utilize the system and integrate it with Kenya’s (NEAMIS) to streamline the recruitment process of domestic workers as well as manage data for our migrant workers.

Waziri Bore made a proposal for the Kenyan Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to be granted access to the Musaned system to enable them keep track of Kenyan migrant workers in the Kingdom, and also sourced for collaborations in the sector of Professional and Accreditation bodies with an aim of adopting best practices and incorporating technological advancements and addressing the changing dynamics of the global labor markets.

Hon. Bore also met with Takamol and Musaned Officials and Professional Accreditation Bodies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to enhance collaboration and source for more employment opportunities with Saudi Arabia.
