Lands CS Hon. Alice Wahome has fired a warning to individuals sitting on public land. Speaking during her impromptu tour at the Kilifi County Lands Registry, CS. Alice has said that the Ministry will cooperate with the DCI and EACC and will stop at nothing to recover grabbed public land.

President Ruto has also on several occasions issued a stern warning to those illegally holding onto government lands, stating that stern action would be taken against those that defy the directives to vacate as soon as possible.

The CS has made a committed to streamline the process of compensation for land and property owners affected by the Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone in Mombasa following strict instructions by H.E. President Ruto.

Hon. Alice Wahome has also added that an operation to do away with impostors who expect to be compensated in the process is underway so that the correct list is implemented.

The CS has commended the County Commissioner Mr. Josephat Biwott – who was present and the Governor H.E Gideon Mung’aro – In absence – and asked for deepened collaboration in resolving disputes and settlement so that both the National and County Governments can implement their mandate.

CS Wahome’s registry’s impromptu tour was purposed to assess working conditions and hindrances to effective service delivery.
