President William Ruto yesterday, Saturday 16th December 2023, hosted teachers and students from Hawa Kosar Madrasa School at State House in Nairobi. In a statement shared on his official account, President Ruto emphasized the government’s support for organizations dedicated to narrowing the socioeconomic gap through education and empowerment for vulnerable groups.

President Ruto expressed his deep appreciation for the institution’s unwavering commitment to education and religious knowledge, highlighting their remarkable growth from 20 students in 2012 to an impressive 627 students today. He stated, “Honored to have hosted the Principal, teachers and students from the institution at State House, Nairobi. Their commitment to education and religious knowledge is inspiring.”

The Madrasa, situated in Garissa County, was lauded for its pivotal role in nurturing a more inclusive and empowered society. President Ruto recognized the Madrasa as a center of excellence for its transformative impact, emphasizing its contribution to inclusivity and empowerment in society.

The event was graced by the presence of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, underscoring the government’s staunch support for educational institutions actively working towards societal transformation and empowerment, particularly through education initiatives.
