President William Ruto and Deputy Rigathi Gachagua plan a comprehensive three-day tour of the Mount Kenya region. The tour will cover Kiambu, Murang’a, Kirinyaga, and Nyeri counties, with specific visits to constituencies and various development projects.
The itinerary includes visits to Lari and Kangema constituencies on Wednesday, followed by Gatanga, Maragua, and Othaya on Thursday, and concluding in Mathira and Gatundu South on Friday. Specific projects to be launched include roads, markets, Kenya Medical Training College, and water and irrigation projects in various constituencies.
In Lari, the launch of the Mau Mau road and Soko Mjinga ESP market is anticipated, contributing to local infrastructure and economic development. Other projects in different constituencies include the inauguration of a medical training college, water and irrigation projects, and roads, aimed at improving healthcare, water access, and transportation for locals.
The visit is strategically timed for President Ruto to strengthen ties with Mount Kenya voters emphasizing the importance of President Ruto collaborating with Deputy President Gachagua to deliver on the promises they made to the people of Mt. Kenya and stressing the need for unity within the Mount Kenya region for continued support.
