H.E President Ruto has eulogized the departed Namibia’s late President Hage Geingob, stating he was a celebrated leader who served the people of Namibia with diligence. He sympathized with the Namibia people, saying that Kenya stands with the country in their moment of grief.

The late President Hage served the people of Namibia diligently, as President Ruto remarked.

“Africa has lost a progressive leader whose powerful voice for a more united continent will never peter out,” – President Ruto.

H.E Geingob, a veteran of Namibian politics, was diagnosed with cancer in 2014 and died on February 4 while undergoing treatment.

For a record 33 years, Geingob had served as Namibia’s top politician.

He succumbed in his second term as President and having served as a Prime mMnister for 15 years.

President Ruto who attended the funeral today, in Windhoek Namibia was with other Presidents Nangolo Mbumba Namibia, Frank-Walter Steinmeier from, German, Tanzania’s Samia Suluhuu , Sahle-Work Zewde, Ethiopia, Évariste Ndayishimiye, Burundi, Felix Tshisekedi from DRC Congo, Emmerson Mnangagwa , Zimbabwe,  João Lourenço ,Angola, Mokgweetsi Masisi, Botswana, Filipe Nyusi ,Mozambique, Malawi’s Lazarus Chakwera , and Madagascar Prime Minister Christian Louis Ntsay.
