At a church service held yesterday Sunday, December 10, in Manyatta Constituency, Embu County, Deputy President Rigathi said five years are not enough to turn around the country’s ailing economy. Gachagua said that the Kenya Kwanza administration, under President William Ruto, requires a decade to bring about significant change in the country. “This work needs ten years to achieve something substantial. There is no work you can do in five years,” Gachagua declared.

According to the second in command, Ruto’s current term is dedicated to meticulous planning, with the need for an additional five years to execute his plans for the benefit of all Kenyans. “The first five are for planning, while the other five are for execution. Please give Ruto his 10 years,” Gachagua urged the congregation. He drew parallels with former President Mwai Kibaki’s achievements during his second term, emphasizing the importance of a second term for executing the blueprint.

Gachagua’s passionate plea also included a call for support and prayers for President Ruto, acknowledging the necessity of a decade in office to complete the work at hand. This bold assertion has sparked a fervent debate across the nation, igniting discussions about the timeline needed for meaningful transformation and development in Kenya.
