Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Florence has urged Kenyans to learn German in anticipation for job opportunities she says she’s pursuing in Berlin.

In a statement earlier today, CS Bore said she flew to Germany on Saturday to follow up on the job opportunities.

“Guten Morgen! Good morning from Berlin Germany and a blessed Sunday on this chilly morning. Arrived for official duties to follow up on job opportunities initiated and discussed by President William Ruto and his counterpart German Chancellor Olaf Scholz,” she said.

“Great people, learn the German language in the meanwhile, within a short period one should learn the basics; Remember opportunity favors the prepared,” the CS added.

On November 19, President Ruto flew also to Germany in search for job opportunities for Kenyans.

The President said during Chancellor Scholz’s visit to Kenya in May 2023, the German leader agreed to open doors to 250,000 professional, skilled and semi-skilled Kenyans in bid to meet Germany’s huge human resource requirements.

Government continues to play a huge role in the significant journey of creating employment opportunities for Kenyans, especially the younger population, in various countries with a high demand for labour.
