First Lady Rachel Ruto has reiterated the Kenya Kwanza Administration’s commitment to achieving 100 percent school enrollment and seamless transition for all children, alongside ensuring Universal Health Care access for all Kenyans.

Addressing the 28th Session of the Organization of Africa First Ladies for Development in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, during the 37th African Union Assembly, the First Lady emphasized the pivotal role of education and healthcare in driving social and economic progress in the country.

Mrs. Ruto emphasized, “Education and healthcare are fundamental pillars for national development, and they are priorities that resonate across the African Union and among First Ladies continent-wide.”

She highlighted the transformative power of education in breaking the cycle of poverty and combating gender-based violence, emphasizing its role in empowering individuals economically.

Mrs. Ruto urged her counterparts to prioritize children’s education and healthcare access, stressing the importance of investing in the well-being of the younger generation.

Additionally, she announced her new role as the Voice of the Children of Kenya, focusing on safeguarding children’s rights and combating issues such as trafficking, abandonment, and abuse.
