The National Treasury has announced plans to release Ksh 10 billion for the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) by the end of this month.

President William Ruto revealed that an additional tranche of Ksh 10 billion will be disbursed by the end of March, aiming to resolve the ongoing Executive-National Assembly deadlock.

Addressing MPs at the Kenya Kwanza Parliamentary Group meeting, President Ruto appealed for understanding during any delays in fund disbursement, citing the government’s efforts to stabilize the economy.

He stated, “We urge MPs to be patient as we navigate economic challenges and ensure prudent financial management.”

The meeting also focused on evaluating the 2nd session of the 13th Parliament, setting the agenda for the upcoming 3rd session.

Discussions encompassed key topics such as the reconstitution of the IEBC, the Affordable Housing Bill, and fostering unity within the coalition and its allies.
