Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has urged political leaders to prioritize unity and forgiveness to propel the nation forward.

Speaking on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at a public event, Gachagua emphasized the importance of setting aside political differences and embracing reconciliation for the betterment of the country.

“I have forgiven those who may have offended me and also sought forgiveness from those I may have hurt through harsh words. Those were matters of politics and we have already moved forward from that,” stated the Deputy President.

Gachagua condemned violent political tactics, urging leaders to resolve disputes amicably and refrain from instigating violence against opponents.

He commended Bishop JJ Gitahi for his support during challenging times, highlighting the significance of genuine friendships in leadership.
