President William Ruto has declared that the long-stalled construction of the 200km Mau Mau roads will resume. Overcoming significant debt challenges that had previously hindered crucial development programs, including the Mau Mau roads, the President has paved the way for vital infrastructure projects to move forward.
“The government has finally overcome the obstacles that were holding back the construction of the Mau Mau roads. We are committed to ensuring that these roads are completed to improve transportation, facilitate trade, and drive economic growth,” stated President Ruto during the launch of the Uplands-Kijabe-Maai Mahiu road in Nyambari, Lari Constituency, Kiambu County.
Furthermore, President Ruto also laid the foundation stone for the Soko Mjinga Market in the same constituency, emphasizing the importance of providing a safe trading environment away from the bustling Nairobi-Naivasha highway.
“The Soko Mjinga Market will offer a secure space for traders and consumers, ensuring their safety and convenience,” added the President.
The event was attended by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Governor Kimani Wamatangi, Mt Kenya MPs, and MCAs.
