Trade and Industrialisation CS Rebecca Miano has announced government efforts to enhance the avocado, coffee, and cotton value chains in Machakos County. Speaking at the Machakos Industry Roundtable, CS Miano highlighted the prioritization of these sectors to transform the socio-economic livelihoods of residents.

In line with President William Ruto’s agenda and the Bottoms Up Economic Transformation, CS Miano emphasized the importance of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through initiatives like the Karibu Business Centres. CS Miano also mentioned the County Aggregation Industrial Parks (CAIPS) project, focusing on agro-processing and value addition to boost manufacturing. Furthermore, CS Miano commended Machakos County for its commitment to industrial development and investment promotion, citing initiatives like the Machakos International Investment Conference and the New Machakos City Project.
