The Government Roadshow embarked on its first destination at the Ministry of Labour & Social Protection, evaluating the achievements and progress of Ministries, State Departments and agencies.

The objective is to ensure the successful implementation of the Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

The meeting underscored the government’s commitment to fostering economic growth and effectively delivering ministry initiatives for the nation’s benefit.

Hosted by the CS, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, Hon Florence Bore who was joined by Hon. Moses Kuria, CS for Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management, who is spearheading the exercise.

The healthy discussion on work progress ensures the delivery of the Bottom up Economic Transformation Agenda Plan and Projects.

The review indicated that the ministry has performed well in increasing the Social Protection coverage, from 1.2 Million to 1.9 Million beneficiaries, Enhancement of the Cash transfer program  that enabled the clearing of pending payment and payment arrangements moved to monthly , The Ministry improved on Job creation with data showing new 136,995 job placement at home and abroad , major increase of the National Social Security Fund contributions, Children’s Act 2022, Disability Program, Training of 211,171 Homecare Workers among others.

Hon. Bore and the present parties were able to discuss how to overcome the existing challenges hampering the delivery of services to Kenyans.

The enriching discussion centered on where the Kenya Kwanza government has achieved and what needs intervention to ensure the delivery of the Bottom up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

Also present was Mercy Wanjau,Secretary to the Cabinet; Shadrack Mwadime, Principal Secretary for the State Department for Labour and Skill Development; Joseph Motari , PS Social Protection and Senior Citizens Affairs, CPA Aurelia Chepkirui Rono, Principal Secretary for the State Department for Parliamentary Affairs; and Ms. Veronica Nduva, Principal Secretary for the State Department for Performance and Delivery Management, along with all heads of SAGAs and departments in the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
