President William Ruto is in Ethiopia for the 37th African Union Summit of Heads of State and Government, where he will address education disparities affecting 98 million African children, underscoring his commitment to advancing crucial issues on the continent.

In his capacity as the chair of the Committee of African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change (CAHOSCC), Ruto will also present a report on Africa’s progress in combating the climate crisis, including the landmark Nairobi Declaration from the Africa Climate Summit. The summit’s focus on building resilient education systems aligns with Ruto’s dedication to enhancing Africa’s human capital for the 21st century.

Additionally, President Ruto will engage in a mini-East African Community Summit to discuss regional concerns, including the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His itinerary includes meetings with fellow Heads of State, international agency leaders, and business figures, highlighting the importance of collaboration in addressing global challenges.
