EPRA on Sunday announced a decrease in maximum petroleum pump prices for Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene. Super Petrol decreased by Ksh5.31 per litre, Diesel by Ksh10.00 per litre, and Kerosene by Ksh18.68 per litre.

The reduction in fuel prices will alleviate the burden on Kenyan consumers, especially amidst rising costs of living. Lower fuel prices mean reduced expenses for transportation and household energy, ultimately easing financial strain on households.

EPRA’s announcement reflects government efforts to regulate fuel prices in line with taxation laws and inflation adjustments. The inclusion of VAT and adherence to legal provisions ensure transparency and accountability in the fuel pricing process.

Nairobi motorists, in particular, will benefit from the reduced fuel prices, with Super Petrol now priced at Ksh193.84 per litre, Diesel at Ksh180.38 per litre, and Kerosene at Ksh170.06 per litre. These lower prices translate to savings for vehicle owners and operators.

The fuel price decrease provides economic relief not only to individual consumers but also to businesses that rely on transportation and energy for their operations. Lower fuel costs contribute to enhanced business competitiveness and potentially stimulate economic growth.
